Storage Tool for Reactor Dumpnozzle Caps

For the removal and installation of dump nozzle caps on new ExxonMobil reactors, an innovative lifting tool was developed for our client HCI.

This special lifting tool consists of a dump nozzle cap gripper, which is operated via the VHT tool (Forklift). Additionally, two storage racks were provided with an accompanying lifting beam. The lifting beam is used to transfer the dump nozzle caps, which are removed from the reactor, to the storage rack.

3D Cadworks handled the complete development and delivery of this special lifting tool for the (de)mounting of dump nozzle caps, along with additional transport and storage tools. The lifting tool was also delivered with a user manual and certification.
