Mobile Research Setup

For a client in the pharmaceutical industry, we took on the complete development of a mobile research setup designed to test the surface of anodized aluminum trays for wear. The setup features three synchronously moving levels that simultaneously test three trays.

The trays are slid over a flat surface (stainless steel plates) through a back-and-forth motion electrically driven by an actuator. If small particles detach from the trays, they are captured in an underlying collection chute. This way, after the desired number of movements, the wear on the trays can be assessed.
