Beltwinder
The Beltwinder is a custom-built machine designed to make the replacement of heavy conveyor belts (up to 27 tons) safe and efficient.
Equipped with a powerful drive system, a hydraulically adjustable steering roller, and comprehensive safety features, the Beltwinder provides a secure and automated solution for winding and installing new conveyor belts.
Following a workplace accident involving the old winder, it was decided to decommission it and develop an entirely new machine. Caden was commissioned to design a solution with safety as the top priority. The result is a winder that fully complies with the latest regulations and incorporates extensive safety features, including visual and audible start-up signals, sensors for secure access gates, and remotely controlled hydraulic operation
During loading, the belt runs over a guide roller, which can be angled to accurately steer the belt. This adjustment is carried out using a hydraulic cylinder. Once the conveyor belt is fully wound, it can be removed with a lifting yoke by disengaging the central shaft from its mount
